I am often asked by curious homeowners who have never worked with an interior designer exactly how the process works. After I explain, I find some seem to be intimidated by the multitude of options and the ambiguous costs. To unsully the water, in January Chelle Albert Interiors began offering packages for those at every budget and every stage of design. CONTEMPORARY Designed for those interested in updating their space but who are also on a small budget, CONTEMPORARY is a one-hour consultation. Chelle Albert Interiors will meet with you for one hour in your home to discuss your design concerns. We will make recommendations on everything from paint selections to space planning/furniture and art placement and we will help incorporate your existing furniture into the design. This one-hour consultation requires no future obligation beyond this one time meeting. The cost of this package is $175 and is due at the end of the consultation. Any additional design time required beyond the one hour, will be billed at a rate of $150/hr. TRANSITIONAL The TRANSITIONAL package is recommended for those interested in a more extensive design service. TRANSITIONAL is up to 8 hours of design time to transform a room of your choosing. This package covers all of the services provided in the CONTEMPORARY, a furniture plan/layout, a detailed proposal listing all sourced products, costs, and where to buy, and someone from our team accompanying you on a shopping trip to a store or stores of your choosing or our recommendation. This package is $1,500, of which $750 is due to begin service and the remaining $750 due at completion. Any additional design time required beyond this package, will be billed at a rate of $150/hr.
TRADITIONAL The TRADITIONAL is for those who have a larger project but don’t have the desire or the time to implement the ideas themselves. This package is for clients looking for a more conventional designer relationship that requires multiple meetings and the enlisting of a variety of tradespeople and vendors to bring the dream space to life. We will work with you to gain a very clear idea of the way you live and entertain and the goals you have for your space. We will create detailed layouts and plans and select samples and finishes to achieve a full custom interior design that satisfies your every dream. The TRADITIONAL client understands the project will be executed over time due to product lead times and the skilled labor of trusted craftsmen. A $1,500 retainer is required at onset.
